TESTAMENT:
AN EVENING IN FLANNERY O'CONNOR'S SOUTH

The great Southern writer Flannery O’Connor once wrote that the South was “Christ haunted.”  In Testament, “the talented writer and actress Elisabeth Gray” (The New Yorker) Elisabeth Gray explores the continued imprint of Biblical narratives on the Southern psyche.  Gray returns to the Rothermere American Institute to perform selections from her RAI commissioned story cycle, TESTAMENT, alongside a reading of Flannery O’Connor’s haunting short story ‘A Good Man Is Hard To Find.’  Award-winning folk musician Jack Harris accompanies her with authentic Southern music.
